Meeting with Prof. Balram Pani, Dean of Colleges, University of Delhi to address issues related to specially-abled people in the colleges (dated: 12th January, 2022)

On the occasion of national Youth Day on 12th January, 2022, SAKSHAM-Indraprastha team members led by Shri Devendra Kumar met with Prof. Balram Pani, Dean of Colleges, University of Delhi. They have discussed various issues related to specially-abled people in the colleges of University of Delhi. The team has raised the issue of audio library, construction of ramps or lift and wheel-chair facilities and classroom with requisite assistive Technology for Divyangjan in every college of DU. The team members have also requested to constitute a special committee in every college, which work for the employment of Divyang students in private companies as well as provision of extra co-curricular activity for Divyangjan. Prof. Pani has assured that Delhi University administration committed to work for the betterment of Divyang-friendly campuses in colleges and if required they will be happy to collaborate with organizations which work for divyangjan like SAKSHAM. At the end of an hour-long meeting, team members presented a book “SAKSHAM Ek Parichay” to Dean of Colleges.
